The Lnx Process
Lnx utilizes proprietary methods to produce complete pictures of science-driven communities.
Beginning with the end in mind, we listen carefully to our client’s needs. We then develop a targeted action plan, due dates and timelines that will provide the needed outcomes. During this phase and throughout the project we help our clients understand social network analysis (SNA) and how they can strategically leverage our capability and get the most from the information provided.
Lnx has deep knowledge and a robust tool set to fully analyze scientific communities. We begin the design phase by carefully selecting data that will contain the relationships necessary to meet the client’s objectives.
This phase begins with harvesting data and extracting the relevant relationships. Data may come from our archive, from the client, from public databases or it may be harvested specifically for a particular project. Special data may be incorporated to address payor, media or prescriber questions important to the client. Relationship data is scrubbed, cleaned and disambiguated using a proprietary triplicate matching process to distinguish or merge “J. Smith” and “John Smith,” as appropriate. Once cleaned and prepped, data is ready for mapping and analysis.
Social Network Analysis.
Lnx’s mapping and analytics abilities are based on highly customized, and constantly evolving, proprietary software. Lnx applies proven Large Scale Social Network Analysis methods to analyze the importance of all individuals and all relationships in a community—whether 10,000 or 100,000. SNA works because individuals choose who to associate with so the communities they form follow a “small-world” pattern. This means that, once relationships are mapped, the community reveals itself in predictable and understandable ways. Lnx analyzes these patterns to identify groups and important aspects of the structure. The core community is identified, along with the Invisible College™: the small number of highly important individuals who drive the community. Reach analysis is performed to calculate the Invisible College’s™ connectivity and impact. We identify Workcircles™ that drive understanding of the community’s interests. Targets can then be segmented by function, allowing clients to engage individuals based on their particular role within the community. Country or regional drill downs are then completed, as needed. At the conclusion of each project, presentations and data deliverables are provided. Lnx is CRM agnostic and supports importation of data into any existing client KOL system.
